Concept and Design
for Space Place in
Te Whanganui
a Tara / Wellington.

Working with Story Inc, we completed the concept, design and production for The Tūhura Room, along with concept work for other zones in the centre.

The Tūhura Room required a vibrant and bright colour palette to appeal to children, and stand out from the white tiles ‘spaceship’ background. Fun typography details, a space character and illustrative details brought this zone to life. An important consideration was making all content bilingual throughout.

Additional concept work played on the expansiveness and moodiness of space - evocative photos and backgrounds provided warmth and texture, and a strong colour system helped to differentiate each zone.
