Live Well Shear Well

Farmstrong and the New Zealand Shearing Association approached us to create a brand for ‘Live Well Shear Well’, and some engaging marketing materials that communicated physical and mental wellness tips for people working in the shearing community in New Zealand.

The brandmark included a stylised representation of the quintessential shearers comb, and a memorable typeface that reflected the nature of the shearing process along with the strength involved in this career.

We decided a fold-out resource that was easily accessible ‘on farm’, and which also translated well to digital advertising, was an optimal design solution.

For each wellness tip, illustrations were created in warm tones, linking to the earthy colours on the land, the vibrant red of the typical New Zealand woolshed, and the greys of the sheep.

A full page poster illustration was also created to represent the camaraderie and community involved in the shearing process.
